What drives me to code?

My interest in technology and engineering began in high school, where I spent my nights and weekends jailbreaking iPhones and modding PC games—pushing technology beyond its intended limits. I enjoyed the challenge of problem-solving and discovery.

When I was first introduced to programming, I built a few simple applications and fell in love with the concept that I could bring my ideas to life through code, and this mentality remains true to this day. My passion for continuous learning and improvement keeps me motivated to understand the technologies that organizations are using today so I can focus on what really matters: solving problems.

More about me

Before my journey into tech, I was pursuing a career in music. I worked as a touring musician, taught high school percussion, and gave private lessons. I thrived on discipline, mentorship, and creativity—however, I craved new challenges and long-term growth.

With a longstanding interest in tinkering with technology, I decided to lean into my natural problem-solving skill set, embrace the unknown, and learn how to code. I immersed myself in software development, learning syntax, building projects, and adapting quickly. This leap from music to engineering has given me a unique perspective: I approach programming with the same creativity, discipline, and adaptability I honed in music.

When I'm not coding, I can be found gaming, playing drums, out enjoying nature, or just spending some much needed quality time with my pets.
